Rental Boats

All boats are first come, first served except for one of our pontoon boats. To make a reservation for our one reservable pontoon boat, please click here.

​All other boats are rented on a first come, first served basis from the Tackle Shop next door to the Lake Cuyamaca Restaurant.

​Boats must be rented by 1pm Mon-Thurs, 4pm Fri-Sun, and all rental boats must be returned to the dock by 5pm.

 

Age restrictions: 

Motorboats/Pontoon: Renter and all drivers must be 18 or older. Minors are not permitted to drive or be in control of the boat at any time.  No children under 2 years of age allowed on motor boats/pontoons.

Row Boats: Renter must be 18 or older. Minors are not permitted to drive or be in control of the boat at any time.

Pedal Boats: Renter must be 18 or older. No children under 5 on pedal boats, they must be in their own seat and be capable of maintaining themselves in the boat. 

Kayaks: Renter must be 18 or older. A minor must be accompanied by an adult in a tandem kayak and the minor must be 8 or older. A minor 15 and older can be in a single kayak as long as they are accompanied by an adult in another kayak.

 

Although these are the general rules, Lake Cuyamaca RPD reserves the right to disallow any rental based on safety concerns at the time.

 

 

​Motor Boats (800 lb maximum)

  • Six people maximum
  • $50 all day
  • After 11am: $35

​Row Boats  (700 lb maximum)

  • Five people maximum
  • $25 all day
  • After 11am: $17.50

​Pedal Boats

  • Four people maximum (350 lb maximum)
  • No Fishing from Pedal Boats
  • $15 per hour
  • Refundable cash deposit: $20
  • *Please call in advance or check weather, if winds are high or there has been rain, pedal boats may not be available*

​Kayaks

  • No Fishing from Rental Kayaks
  • Kayak rentals are seasonal, typically starting Memorial day and ending in October.
  • Kayak (single): $15 per hour
  • Kayak (double): $20 per hour
  • Refundable cash deposit: $20
  • *Please call in advance or check weather, if winds are high or there has been rain, kayaks may not be available*

Pontoon Boats

  • Eight people maximum
  • Weekdays: $175 per day
  • Weekends: $225 per day

Angler's Pontoon (new)

  • Eight people maximum
  • Weekdays: $300 per day
  • Weekends: $350 per day
